For our final lecture, we dive deeper into the arithmetic aspects of special point problems by discussing the Galois action on special points. We explain how class groups enter the story, the importance of the larger 'toral' orbits in which the galois orbits sit, and how an old trick of Deligne allows one to jump between special points on distinct Shimura varieties.
