The Princeton University Department of Mathematics strives to provide all undergraduate and graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and staff with the best possible environment to achieve success, growth, and self-fulfillment. We are united by our passion for mathematics and are determined not to allow prejudice and discrimination to divide us. We also recognize that a diverse and inclusive environment leads to greater outcomes and opportunities. The Department is committed to equity of access and opportunity for all community members regardless of race, nationality, religious affiliation, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socioeconomic status, or disability status.

The Climate and Inclusion Committee has been set up to communicate, coordinate and create activities that enhance the Department's efforts to achieve its diversity and inclusivity goals. This webpage is designed to keep everyone informed of the initiatives and activities being put in place. It is a work in progress as we try to address critical issues and get feedback from the community. We encourage everyone to contribute to this important work. The links in the menu on the left give specific information on progress and activities in Fine Hall and point to some of our long-term goals. We will update the webpage regularly as the extent of our efforts and guiding values are clarified. General comments or suggestions to the committee can be sent to the direct email address inclusion@math.princeton.edu or Maria Mastroianni, Climate and Inclusion Communication Liaison / Web Administrator.
