Assistant Professor Francesco Lin has been selected to received a 2019 Sloan Research Fellowship. Lin is one of 10 current Princeton faculty members in the 2019 class of fellows. Other fellows in mathematics this year include Xiuyuan Cheng *13 (PACM), now at Duke University; Philip Isett *13, now at the California Institute of Technology; Junehyuk Jung *13, now at Texas A&M University; and Konstantin Tikhomirov, a Instructor at Princeton from 2016-18, now at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

The Sloan Research Fellowships seek to stimulate fundamental research by early-career scientists and scholars of outstanding promise. These two-year fellowships are awarded yearly to 126 researchers in recognition of distinguished performance and a unique potential to make substantial contributions to their field. The 2019 Sloan Research Fellows will receive fellowships in the amount of $70,000.
