The phenomenon of anomalous dissipation predicts the existence of solutions to the incompressible Euler equations that in addition satisfy a `local energy inequality' strictly. I will explain this and explain how techniques from convex integration can be used to construct such solutions. The rest of the talk will outline a possible approach to the Strong Onsager Conjecture.
