I will talk about tautological points on the moduli space of curves and their connection to Beauville-Voisin points on K3 surfaces. Very natural open questions on the moduli space of K3 surfaces then immediately arise. At the end, I will discuss recent progress on cycles related to Abel-Jacobi theory.
