Joakim Færgeman will receive the inaugural 2027 George Lusztig Thesis Prize in Lie Theory in recognition for outstanding contributions in his Ph.D. thesis, Contributions to the Geometric Langlands Program.
Established in 2026 by George Lusztig *71, the George Lusztig Thesis Prize in Lie Theory will be awarded annually to the author of an exceptional Ph.D. thesis in Lie Theory.
