Professor Shou-Wu Zhang was awarded the 2026 ICBS Andrew Wiles Medal in Mathematics from the International Congress of Basic Science in recognition for transformative contributions to arithmetic geometry. This included the proof of the Bogomolov conjecture and the extension of the Gross-Zagier formula.
