Congratulations to Professor Manjul Bhargava, who has been awarded the 2014 Fields Medal for his contributions to number theory!The Fields Medal is one of mathematics' most prestigious prizes. It is awarded every four years to between two and four mathematicians 40 years old and younger at the International Congress of Mathematicians. This year's congress is being held in Seoul, South Korea, where President Park Geun-hye presented Professor Bhargava with the citation and medal August 13th.
