The 2026 Fields Medals were awarded to: Yu Deng *15, John Pardon '11 and former Mathematics faculty member (2016-23), Jacob Tsimerman *11 and Minerva Distinguished Visitor in 2021, and Hong Wang, a Minerva Lecturer in 2025.
The Fields Medal is awarded every four years at the International Congress of Mathematicians to honor exceptional mathematical achievement, recognizing both the impact of a scholar's existing work and their “promise of future achievement."
