Kahler geometry lies at the intersection of Riemannian geometry and complex geometry, and the interaction between the two often leads to interesting results. An example of this is the classical Kodaira embedding theorem. We will explain a few connections between geometric analysis and (complex) algebraic geometry on Kahler manifolds.

In the first lecture I will discuss some background and motivations.
