Lorentzian polynomials link continuous convex analysis and discrete convex analysis via tropical geometry. Specific examples can be constructed from graphs, convex bodies, stable polynomials, irreducible representations of general linear groups, and projective varieties. I will explain the main ideas and results from the viewpoint of projective geometry.
