In 2019, Budney and Gabai introduced a construction of diffeomorphisms of a four-manifold called barbell diffeomorphisms. We will recall what these are and use them to construct 3-knots in S^5 and knotted solid tori in S^4. This is joint work with Seungwon Kim and Gheehyun Nahm.
