Noetherian Ring

The Noetherian Ring is a group that focuses on increasing inclusiveness and belonging for female and non-binary members of the department.  We welcome people of all years and genders that are interested in math and think they would benefit from being part of our community.

What started as the occasional lunch gathering has expanded, and the group started a lecture series to feature the research of local and visiting women/nonbinary mathematicians. The seminar is organized by graduate students Alison Tatsuoka and Seoyeon Yang.

The overarching goal of the series is to highlight the work of a diverse set of speakers, who are asked to present their work at a general graduate level so that the whole department can participate.
