A toric orbifold $X$ can be constructed from a simple convex polytope $P$ together with a characteristic function $\lambda$. A fundamental problem is to understand how the combinatorial data of the pair $(P,\lambda)$ relates to the algebraic structure of the cohomology of $X$. In this talk I will discuss the computation of cup products for certain 4-dimensional toric orbifolds and its applications.
