The program's goal is to allow students to explore contemporary mathematics, either as a topic for its own sake or to gain a deeper knowledge of a specific area most relevant to the student's work in their major field of concentration.
The Mathematics Department will hold a Sophomore Open House on Tuesday, March 19 at 3:00 PM in the Fine Hall Common Room (3rd Floor). Refreshments will be served.
The 84th Annual Putnam Competition was held on December 2, 2023. Atharva Pathak ’26 and the Princeton University team both received an honorable mention this year. The team members were Benjamin Lemkin ‘26, Austen Mazenko ‘24, and Atharva Pathak ’26.
Ryan Unger, along with José de Jesús Montaño López, Geneva Smith, and Pasquale Toscano, have been named winners of the Porter Ogden Jacobus Fellowship, Princeton University’s top honor for graduate students.
