After thinking about it for a while, I've decided that I will get a WordPress account. Most of the reasons are given in this post from a few months ago.

In any case, this will not mean the death of blogOhm or this site (though considering I will be moving to my PostDoc position in England in a few months, the web address may need some updating). I will keep Sortir en Pantoufles as a more general purpose blog site. I will even post mathematical snipplets here and there. The purpose of the new WordPress blog will be to

• Give me a chance to be more didactic in my mathematical posts.
• Sort of elucidate the working process of this mathematician.
• Throw up questions to the world.

In this spirit, I've decided that the posts on the new WordPress blog will be

• A clear and complete presentation of a topic at an introductory level; when it is not possible to be self-contained, I will give references.
• Or, a discussion of the philosophy of doing mathematics.
• Or, throwing up a simple question to which I have no answer.
• Or, announcement of pre-prints or publications (yes, I have to whore myself out once in a while...)

All other mathematics related posts will remain on this site. The last topic will also be duplicated here, since more advertisement is better than no advertisement.

Oh, and by the way, the new blog is called "Asking Questions" and can be found here.
