A few days ago, out of curiousity, we asked the guy down at the ground floor guarding the door about the door-locking policy of this building: he kindly informed us that 1) yes, they do perform a complete lock down at midnight and 2) there is a phone number that one can call if one does accidentally get locked in.
For some reason, Pin brought it up again today with a different security dude. The dude made an addendum to the above facts: turns out that every floor has infrared motion sensors located around the stairs and the elevators. So if we do stay past midnight, it would be necessary to call the securities people first before even leaving our office: else the alarm would be triggered and the security company AND the police would be phoned in.
