It was junior year coming up for me, and my advisor noticed that I still hadn't any classes for the Literature and Art category of the basic distribution requirements for the bachelor of arts. I opted for Modern (American) Poetry with Craig Dworkin (who is now, if I am not mistaken, at Utah).
I liked Craig so much that I took a second semestre with him: Uncreative Writing. Strangely enough, the jumble of material that we seemingly haphazardly cruise through is sticking to my brain better than Sanskrit or Indian Religions which I actually paid attention to and studied for. And even more surprising is the fact that I now have this sense of fulfillment now that those bits of "culture" are resounding in other bits of my life.
One of my friends found out about Soldier's Elephant Orchestra. That was part of Craig's week on Music of Chance (which also included the Most Wanted/Unwanted Songs, another facet that reflected into other personal interactions).
Now Gaiman points to the fact that The Humument is available to be seen online. The title sounded familiar and so I clicked, lo-and-behold I see something that was yet again first introduced to me by Craig.
My education has come full circle, and it makes me want to re-read Warhol's "A".
