I grew up there

These are where I grew up. The places of my youth. Seen through Google Maps' Satellite images.

The first link.

The first link goes to the vicinity of my elementary school. Near the center of the image, slightly to the upper left, you see a orange-brown oval. That is the track field for Long-An Elementary School. At the center of the picture, to the bottom right of the school, you find two small gray-green colored squares of about the same size. The one to the left is where I lived. Across the street is a gigantic circular white building. That is the recently constructed athletic facility for National Taiwan University, which takes up the entire chunk of land to the south east of the athletic center.

The second link

This is the vicinity of my middle school. The big road that runs north-south near the center-right of the picture is Jian4-Guo2 South Road. To the west of it, the big patch of grass is Da4 An1 Forest Park (a.k.a. City Park No. 7). The orange U shaped building on the other side used to be the Rec Center for the "Joint Forces", i.e., American troops stationed in Taiwan. After the Americans left, it became a club that is somewhere half way between YMCA and a country club. When I was in 5th-7th grade, I trained there for swimming.

The third link

At the center of the picture is a horizontal oval. That is the PE track of Yan2 Ping2 Middle/High School. The two buildings with light-blue-colored roof to the north and south of the track are, respectively, the building that houses music, art, carpentry, home economics, health, and other similar courses, and the building that houses the Yan-Ping vocational school. The big square to the east of the tracks is the main campus building, which houses the main classrooms and offices.
