I am grading Math 204 this semester. My office hours are Thursday, 2:30 - 3:30. Quick questions (e.g., I turned in my homework but it hasn't been graded! Does this question require a proof?) are best asked by email; you will get more prompt responses if the subject of your email includes the words Math 204. Outside of office hours, I can often be found in the Fine Hall common room on the 3rd floor.
I study quantum invariants as obtained from integrals over moduli spaces. In practice this means I only think about spaces with torus actions and compute things by counting fixed points. There is also some amount of manipulation of generating functions involved, and some amount of staring into space, trying to guess what it all means.
At the moment, I am trying to learn something about knots and physics. If you have any understanding of the Ooguri-Vafa perspective on this connection and want to explain it to me, that would be lovely.
My advisor is Rahul Pandharipande.
