Kahler geometry and holomorphic foliations
Abstract
This talk concerns my recent joint work with Xiuxiong Chen on the geometry of the space of Kahler metrics. I will discuss a new result on special maps into the space of Kahler metrics and explain how it is related to holomorphic foliations. I will also discuss its applications to Kahler geometry, including the uniqueness of Calabi's extremal metrics and stability of underlying manifolds.
