On local and global aspects of the Einstein evolution
Abstract
I will discuss recent progress on the L^2-curvature conjecture obtained in joint work with S. Klainerman. In particular, this will include the question on existence and regularity of null hypersurfaces in an Einstein vacuum space-time. The "global" part of the talk will focus on the question of stability of the "harmonic gauge" in general relativity (joint work with H. Lindblad) and the proof of the Price law (or the "no hair theorem") in the collapse of a self-graviatitng scalar field (joint work with M. Dafermos.)
