"Beat the Diffraction Limit":
Asymptotics for Time-Reversal in Random Media
Abstract:I will present diffusion-approximation limit theorems
which are used in
the study of time-reversal for waves in random media in various
regimes of separation of scales.
In particular the following topics will be discussed:
- From time-domain to multi-frequency
domains through moments
analysis.
- Interactions between correlation lengths
and wavelengths.
- The highly contrasted layered case.
- Stationary phases and diffusion-approximation.
- Parabolic and white noise approximation
in weakly fluctuating
media.
