Guidelines for Submitting a

First, check the deadlines through NSF funding opportunities in the Math Department website. Keep in mind that you must allow preparation time in the Mathematics Department. Princeton University has its own system for doing proposals which must be followed before anything can be done in NSF FastLane. All proposals must be entered into this system by Dona Vukson (303 Fine Hall) and be approved before they can be entered into FastLane. To be sure to have everything completed on time, you need to get all materials to Dona Vukson two weeks prior to the deadline date. Below is the information needed to complete a proposal. Please answer the questions and provide the requested information as soon as you decide you want to submit a proposal. 1. Title for proposal 2. Would you like to request 2 months summer salary or would you be content with one month or some portion of the time? 3. Do you have any "wishes" for places to visit during the next few years? (conferences, colleagues, etc.) Please make as complete a list as possible. Are there colleagues you want to come to Princeton on occasion? If so, who and where would they be coming from? 4. For senior faculty: support for graduate students (stipend and tuition) is normally requested. Generally support for two students is requested, but if more than one senior faculty member is included in the proposal, the number of students to be supported can be increased. 5. Any special computing requests? 6. Do you have grants anywhere else (outside of Princeton)? The Current and Pending section must include all existing grants. 7. Separate files must be provided as e-mail attachments as follows: a) project summary (one page only)[include sections: Broader Impact and Intellectual Merit] |
