On the critical focusing semilinear wave equation in 3d

We discuss a recent result, joint with W. Schlag, on the existence of global radial solutions with initial data close to the static Aubin solutions and confined to suitable stable manifolds. This work supports numerical evidence of P. Bizon, asserting the existence of a dispersion/blow-up dichotomy effected by such a manifold.
